Welcome to submit abstracts for presentation at the Congress. The abstract submission opens December 1, 2018.

The sessions below with examples of topics should be considered as guidelines only. Changes may occur depending on the profiles of the accepted papers. 

Major cooperative projects: Military aircraft, civil aircraft, unmanned aircraft/RPAS, missiles/weapons, satellites and their launchers, Clean Sky and SESAR projects.

Environmentally friendly technology: Noise, emissions, climate issues, new fuels, optimised flight planning/flight profiles, surveillance systems, new engines, laminar flow, electric aircraft and engines, environmental satellites.

Aircraft and spacecraft system analysis: Conceptual design, system of systems, co-
operating systems, pre-projects, customer and functional requirements, system safety, security solutions, concept development, modelling and simulation, air and space transportation systems, operational applications, ATM.

Engines: Propulsion systems, turbomachinery, lifing methods, value-driven development, metallic materials, composite materials, manufacturing systems & processes.

Structures, materials, and processes: Loads, stress analysis, fatigue and fracture, damage tolerance, durability, structural dynamics, vibration, flutter, friction welding, advanced casting, high-speed machining, new fastening and shaping technology, composites, hybrid materials, functional materials, MEMS, nanotechnology, condition-based maintenance, additive manufacturing.

Aircraft and spacecraft technology: Aerodynamics, guidance systems, signature analysis, signature reduction, flow control, propulsion systems (including integration), combustion technology, materials technology, design- and structural technology, flight mechanics/flight dynamics, aeroelasticity, acoustics.

Sub-system and system technology: Avionics, autonomy, information systems, HMI and decision support, sensors and management systems (including communication, navigation and air traffic management), integrated production development. 

Operational availability, maintenance and support: Life cycle assessment, operation and maintenance, operating support systems, customer adapted production support, decision support, integrated testing, automatic failure investigation, remote repair, logistics.


GuidElines for abstracts

The abstract should consist of a title, author list and the abstract text. The abstract text is limited to 2800 characters (~400 words). It is not possible to include tables or graphs/images in the abstract. 


Abstract and presentation should be in English.

One page consists of:

  • a title of maximum 350 characters
  • author list
  • abstract text, maximum 2800 characters (~400 words

Note: It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract; any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific facts will be published as typed by the author.


When you submit abstract you will be asked to choose one of the Congress topics and then fill in 2-4 keywords. 

NOTE: You may submit more than 1 abstract. However, presenters that are accepted for oral presentation will be permitted to give only 1 oral presentation per registration. 

Submission of abstracts is open between December 1, 2018, until March 1, 2019.

Notification of abstract acceptance will be e-mailed to the lead author by the end of April 2019

Presentation time is 20 minutes plus 5 minutes allocated for questions and discussions. 

All abstracts accepted for presentation will be published on the Conference website prior to the Conference.
